Five years in the making and occupying an 8,000-square-foot gallery, Noah's Ark at the Skirball welcomes children and families to take this journey together. Inspired by the ancient flood story, which has parallels in diverse cultures around the world, this one-of-a-kind new destination invites visitors of all generations to have fun—and to connect with one another, learn the value of community, and help build a better world.
Inside a floor-to-ceiling wooden ark, filled to the rafters with whimsical animals, you and your family will play, build, climb, explore, collaborate, and more. Conduct a storm, help construct the ark, and bask in the glow of a beautiful rainbow. Mingle with hundreds of fanciful animals—from cuddly companions to life–sized puppets—all crafted from recycled materials and everyday objects, including bottle caps, bicycle parts, baseball mitts, croquet balls, mop heads, and rear-view mirror.
Unique to the Noah's Ark experience are impromptu "happenings," surprise interactions, and drop-in activities. While visiting the galleries, meet a puppet, create a take-home art project, or hear a story. Complete your visit by experiencing the outdoor rainbow mist in the arroyo park just outside the galleries.
Admission: $10 - General, $7 - Seniors and Full Time Students, $5 - Children 2 to12. Free to Members and Children under 2. Includes admission to other Skirball exhibitions.
Ticket Information: Same-day, walk-up tickets to Noah's Ark are subject to availability. Walk-up tickets are typically available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Advance tickets are recommended on weekends, free Thursdays, and during school holidays for all Noah's Ark visitors, including Members. To ensure a safe and pleasant visitor experience, all Noah's Ark ticketholders are assigned an entry time, permitting up to two hours in the Noah's galleries. New! Noah’s Ark at the Skirball Group Visits: The Skirball Cultural Center is now reserving self-guided group visits to Noah's Ark. The fees per person for group visits are $7 - General and $4 - Seniors/Students/Children 2 to12. (Please note that regular admission fees are $10 - General, $7 - Seniors and Students, $5 - Children 2 to 12. Skirball Members who will be part of a group visit will not be entitled to free admission to the galleries). If you would like to schedule a group visit to Noah's Ark at the Skirball, please first review the Noah's Ark at the Skirball - Group Visit Booking Policy to ensure your group fits the guidelines. Noah’s Ark at the Skirball is designed for generations to enjoy together. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The minimum adult/child ratio is 1/4.
